P&B USA—With You Through the Pandemic and Beyond

2019 news 1 templateOn Thursday, March 19, 2020, the staff of the Pensions and Benefits office joined with other employees of the Global Ministry Center, Nazarene Bible College, and the Church of the Nazarene Foundation to begin work remotely from homes across the Kansas City metro area. The action to close the GMC building was taken by church leadership, in keeping with guidelines established by the State of Kansas in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Monday, June 15, marked the launch of the final phase of the return of staff to the GMC, which had begun almost five weeks earlier.

During the time the GMC was officially closed, work continued pretty much as usual for P&B employees. Representatives handled phone calls, insurance and retirement benefits were processed, and information was disseminated via email, website, and Facebook.

“I’m grateful to the Lord for a dedicated team at PBUSA with a ‘can do’ attitude that enabled us to continue executing our service responsibilities at a high level during this time of uncertainty,” P&B director Kevin P. Gilmore said.
