Some 500 retired ministers and spouses were honored for their service to Christ and His kingdom, Friday evening, June 21, at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The group gathered from across the United States and collectively represented more than 10,000 years of ministry in the Church of the Nazarene.
The event was sponsored by Pensions and Benefits USA, which first began hosting the receptions at general assemblies in 1972.
“We are honored to provide this expression of appreciation for the men and women who have given themselves in service to the Lord through the Church of the Nazarene,” said Don Walter, director of Pensions and Benefits USA. “Their legacy continues in the lives of those who were influenced by their love, devotion and ministry. We remain indebted to them.”
