It’s never good to procrastinate, but most of us do. However, here’s good news if you’ve been putting off buying term life insurance, and you’re under the age of 49, you’ve got until September 30 to take advantage of open enrollment for Nazarene Supplemental Group Term Life Insurance. This means qualified ministers may purchase $10,000 of new or additional coverage without evidence of insurability.
This is a great opportunity, but it’s available only through the close of September. Insurance is underwritten by Aetna. To be eligible, Nazarene ministers and spouses must have been 49 or younger as of January 1, 2013, and not denied coverage since January 1, 2009.
“Group term life insurance is relatively cheap and offers valuable assistance if a surviving spouse has to shoulder the responsibility of maintaining a household,” said Don Walter, director of Pensions and Benefits USA. “Now is a good time for young ministers to provide their families with this coverage and avoid the hassle of a medical exam.”
