Don Walter

As director he was responsible for overseeing a ministry that serves more than 17,000 active and retired church employees and their spouses with a variety of financial services. These include retirement benefits and life and disability insurance. He also represented the Church of the Nazarene in two major benefit organizations—the Church Alliance and the Church Benefits Association, of which he was a leader and former president.
A graduate of MidAmerica Nazarene University, Nazarene Theological Seminary, and Webster University, Walter was an adjunct professor at MNU from 1994 to 2004. He received the doctor of divinity degree from Nazarene Bible College in 2006. Ordained in 1980, he was a native of Iowa and served pastorates in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia.
